As a new South African immigrant to Vancouver Island, Canada, with two small children and no support network, Irene was driven to launch Indaba with a belief that life is better when you surround yourself with meaningful things that provide comfort, pleasure, and beauty.

Irene was inspired by the Zulu word for "a gathering of people": Indaba. This enchanting word embodies our mission to connect with you through our story, products, and the people who make them.

There is no description of what color candlestick this is so I assumed it was dune tried emailing a few few times and no one has gotten back in touch

Linen pillows

I love the color and they are made well but the insert pillow is not stuffed enough. But I still kept them because I had bought two just like this at a local store and needed two more of the same color but they didn't have them. And for some reason the insert pillow is stuffed thicker, even though they all came from your company. I also paid $30 more each from y'all just to get matching ones.

We really appreciate your note about the insert. For ease of shipping, especially in direct-to-customer orders like yours, we vacuum-pack the pillows which can make them appear a little under-stuffed at first. We recommend giving them a good shake and a fluff to help them return to their intended fullness—it can make a big difference!

As for the price difference, our retail pricing is intentionally set a bit higher than our stockists so that we can support the small businesses who carry our products in-store. We’re grateful you chose to order directly from us and hope the matching set looks beautiful in your space.
